2．教學(xué)設(shè)計建議
1）．第1課時：
a. 教具：教學(xué)掛圖、城市或鄉(xiāng)鎮(zhèn)街道的圖片、錄音機、磁帶
b. 步驟建議：
步驟1 ：展示1a中生詞的圖片，教學(xué)生認讀生詞，同時引出新句型；如：
library Is there a library near here ?
Center Street Yes, there’s a library on Center Street.
步驟2 ：聽錄音，鞏固所學(xué)生詞；理解、重復(fù)1b中的對話，并通過pairwork的方式進行練習(xí)，再次鞏固。
步驟3 ：展示城市或鄉(xiāng)鎮(zhèn)街道的圖片，結(jié)合2a ，教學(xué)表示方位的介詞：near, on, across from, next to, between。
步驟4 ：聽錄音，鞏固所學(xué)詞匯；理解、完成2b中的句子，并通過pairwork的方式進行練習(xí)，再次鞏固；閱讀、理解Grammar Focus ，能結(jié)合現(xiàn)實情況靈活運用所學(xué)知識。
步驟5 ：任務(wù)性活動：把教室化分為“井”字形的幾個街區(qū)，標(biāo)出“建筑物”和“街道”的名稱，讓學(xué)生描述某“建筑物”所在位置。
2）．第2課時：
a. 教具：教學(xué)掛圖、城市或鄉(xiāng)鎮(zhèn)街道的圖片、錄音機、磁帶
b. 步驟建議：
步驟1：復(fù)習(xí)Grammar Focus，用表示方位的介詞next to, across from, near,
between造句并編成小對話（ 先師生間作示范，后pairwork ）。
步驟2：展示教學(xué)掛圖 3a 的內(nèi)容, 詢問某建筑物所在地, 教學(xué)短語 go straight,
turn left, turn right .
步驟3：通過學(xué)習(xí)3a，掌握指路的基本表達；展示城市或鄉(xiāng)鎮(zhèn)街道的圖片，
進行多種形式的練習(xí)，并完成 3b。
步驟4：4 GAME Ask me a question !
步驟5：任務(wù)性活動：假設(shè)王小東到本地來旅游，想?yún)⒂^幾處風(fēng)景名勝，請
大家給他指路。
3）．第3課時：
a. 教具：教學(xué)掛圖、錄音機、磁帶
b. 步驟建議：
步驟1：復(fù)習(xí)幾組反義詞，展示教學(xué)掛圖 Section B 1a 的內(nèi)容，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生用剛剛復(fù)習(xí)過的幾組反義詞對掛圖進行描述；完成 1a 的要求。
步驟2：將1a運用于句型 Is there a big supermarket near where you live ? 中做替換練習(xí)；啟發(fā)學(xué)生根據(jù)需要和可能，或者現(xiàn)實情況進行會話練習(xí)。
步驟3：聽錄音，檢驗對 1a 的掌握；根據(jù)錄音材料繪制小區(qū)地圖。
步驟4：任務(wù)性活動：同學(xué)們兩人一組準(zhǔn)備寫有Section B 1a 短語的紙條（每張紙條上只寫一個短語），將它們反過來放在桌子上；假設(shè)同學(xué)A 抽到a big supermarket ，只能說 There is a small supermarket . 同學(xué)B 根據(jù)同學(xué)A 的敘述，回答 No! There is a big supermarket .
4）．第4課時：
a. 教具：教學(xué)掛圖、錄音機、磁帶
b. 步驟建議：
步驟1：提出以下問題，讓學(xué)生默讀Section B 3a 后再回答：
1. Where is the park ?
2. Is there an old hotel or a small hotel ?
3. Where is it ?
4. Is there a big house next to the hotel ?
步驟2：教學(xué)生認讀生詞； 聽錄音，讀課文.
步驟3：讓學(xué)生默讀3b , 完成短文中的空格；老師檢查其答案，學(xué)生齊讀。
步驟4：任務(wù)性活動：四個同學(xué)組成一組，一人用英語描述自家的位置及周圍環(huán)境，其余的人聽并畫出該同學(xué)的住地；大家輪流進行。
5）．第5課時：
a. 教具：教學(xué)掛圖、錄音機、磁帶
b. 步驟建議：
步驟1：讓學(xué)生讀Self check 里的單詞, 隨后聽寫這些基本詞匯以及由它們構(gòu)成的詞組、短語.
步驟2：檢查學(xué)生的聽寫情況( 全班齊讀聽寫內(nèi)容、組與組之間相互檢查、教師抽查個別同學(xué) ).
步驟3：畫一張街區(qū)簡圖,告訴學(xué)生從A點到B點、A點到C點、B點到C點的幾種走法,要使用以下詞組: turn left / right、 go down --- street、
go through、 on one’left / right ；同時引出、使用并教學(xué)生詞與短語： taxi、 take a taxi、 arrive、 arrive in / at、 airport .
步驟4：展示Self check第3部分的掛圖，進行教學(xué)。
步驟5：任務(wù)性活動：以寫信、或發(fā)e--mail 的方式邀請朋友、筆友、網(wǎng)友來你家鄉(xiāng)作客，告之詳細的走法，然后互相交流。
