由于發(fā)展過快，水源受污染對人類危害的事例不勝枚舉，日本的“骨痛病”就屬于金屬污染水源所產(chǎn)生的重金屬中毒。因為突發(fā)事件的多樣性，使人們一再對于自己飲用的水持有懷疑態(tài)度，甚至懷疑害怕生產(chǎn)自來水過程中使水混有一些有毒氣體，因而認為純凈水和礦泉水這類過純高消費產(chǎn)品更利用健康。事實上生產(chǎn)符合國家標準的自來水不會危害人體健康,國家對此的防治措施還是有的。
因此，就算科技的發(fā)展要導致污染，也不可先污染再治理，這樣不利于人民生活水平的提高，更談不上社會發(fā)展，我們不能再干殺雞取卵的傻事了。
雖然發(fā)展中避免不了污染，但只要我們有強烈的憂患意識，借鑒發(fā)達國家的經(jīng)驗教訓，提高人類的環(huán)保意識，學會防治結(jié)合解決環(huán)境污染問題，就可以變垃圾為可再生資源，利用好資源，讓人們找到經(jīng)濟發(fā)展與環(huán)境保護兩者和諧發(fā)展的平衡點，突現(xiàn)人與自然和諧同處。
