每年的10月31日是西方國家的傳統節日----萬圣節。在萬圣節前夕，我們杭州網的小記者展開了一次“萬圣節英語文化之旅”。
我和媽媽早早地來到了活動集合地點，報到后領了一張活動的介紹。等人差不多齊了后，我們各自得到了一個英文名，然后來到了一個充滿萬圣節氣氛的小屋：神秘的黑色城堡與墳墓；詭異的南瓜燈；墻上貼滿了各種各樣的妖魔鬼怪的圖案······讓人直冒冷汗。
活動開始了，首先是通過一個小短片讓我們知道了萬圣節的由來：萬圣節最早是愛爾蘭人驅趕鬼神的節日，又叫“夏之盡頭”。但信奉神的教皇不同意了，便把11月1日訂為跪拜鬼神的`節日，但10月31日晚要驅趕鬼神的呀，于是正式把“夏之盡頭”改為“Hlloween(萬圣節)”。據說這一天在西方國家，孩子們都會穿上精靈古怪的衣服提著南瓜燈挨家挨戶討糖吃。
既然說到挨家討糖吃，接下來我們就玩了“Trick or treat（不給糖就搗蛋）”的游戲。我提了一盞南瓜燈敲了敲門，笑嘻嘻地說：“Trick or treat”，然后走進門，老師就給我了兩顆糖。耶！太容易了！
