一、寫作指導
通知通常可分為口頭通知和書面通知兩種，口頭通知只需用一段話講清其內容，不必寫出通知的單位和日期。要注意口頭通知開頭和結尾的.寫法。現實生活中，還有一種廣播通知,實際上廣播通知也屬于口頭通知的范疇。而書面通知則有一定的格式要求，如要先寫標題，然后寫下文，寫完后，在右下角應寫發通知的單位，在左下角應寫發通知的日期。
二、常用表達
寫通知通常要使用的表達有：
Attention please, everyone. I have an announcement to make.
May I have your attention, please?
Everyone is asked to be there on time.
Be sure not to be late.
Please be present on time.
Please take your notebooks with you and be sure on time.
Those who are interested in it are warmly welcome.
We are going to hold a meeting to discuss the problem.
There will be a meeting to discuss the problem.
Please be quiet, everyone! I’ve some thing to tell you.
I’m glad to tell you something important.
That’s all. Thank you very much.
三、實例與范文(01)
請根據下列所供材料，寫一則詞數為100—120字的`口頭通知。
假設你是學生會干事,由你用英語向同學們通知英語口語競賽的有關情況：
1. 競賽于5月8日舉行，由英語辦公室和學生會合辦。
2. 演講題目為學校生活，如“我的同學”、“我的老師”等。
3. 競賽后由校長公布結果并頒獎。
In order to improve your spoken English, the Students’ Union and the English office will hold a spoken English competition together. The competition will be held on May 8th. The topic of the competition is supposed to be one about school life, such as “an honoured teacher” or “My classmate”.
All the competitors should get ready for it. After the competition, the result will be announced by the headmaster and the prize will be given by him.
