或許你會想，想在重要的是發展科技，科技發達了之后在去環保也不遲，那你到時候可要后悔了。如果我們現在過分陶醉于對抗大自然的勝利，認為我們取得了什么了不起的成就，那我們離滅亡也就不遠了
氣候變暖，臭氧層空洞，酸雨，有毒廢棄物，野生生物滅絕，以及大氣、水污染等，這是我們當前面臨的一連串全球環境問題，面對這些問題，我們該做些什么呢?
保護環境，人人有責，但我們現在還只是學生，不可能為全人類的環境作出特別大的貢獻，但我們可以從身邊的環境做起，從保護學校的環境做起，例如：遵守有關禁止亂扔各種廢棄物的規定，把廢棄物扔到指定的地點或容器中，避免使用一次性的飲料杯、飯盒、塑料袋，用紙盒等代替，這樣可以大大減少垃圾，減輕垃圾處理工作的壓力，愛護花草樹木，少贈送賀年卡，保持校園清潔等。
以上這些雖是小事，但是，只要大家動手，一起努力，從節約資源和減少污染著手，調整一下自己的生活方式，我們就能為保護地球做出一份貢獻。

今天是星期六，媽媽帶我到她的外婆家吃午飯，我就稱媽媽的外婆為老太太了。
來到老太太家，見她家收拾的干干凈凈，可不時會聞到一股酸酸的、臭臭的味道，那是怎么回事呢?原來老太太家住在老城區，門前有一條小河，臭味是從那里發出來的。聽老太太說，她小時候這條小河里的水清澈見底，魚兒在水中自由自在地游。每天清晨，周圍的人們都聚集在這小河旁淘米、洗菜，其樂融融。
聽老太太這么一說，我便走到河邊，仔細地觀察了一下河水。現在的河水是黑黑的，散發著陣陣惡臭，河里一條魚都沒有，河面上漂浮著易拉罐、塑料袋……正看著，那邊走來一位叔叔，手里拿著一大把垃圾，來到河邊，竟然沒有絲毫猶豫就往河里扔了進去。再看旁邊的墻上貼著“請保護環境，禁止亂倒垃圾”這十一個大字。我想：這叔叔難道是文盲?或許他沒看見?或許他看見了，只是把垃圾丟到河里已經成為一種習慣?這可真是一種可怕的習慣啊。
從河邊回來，我想了很久，這條河估計不久就會枯竭，那么其他河流的命運呢?這可是我們自己美好的家園——地球，人們為何要破壞自己的家園呢?難道保護自己的家園那么難嗎!而地球又經得起這么多人的折騰嗎?到地球遭到徹底毀壞時，人類將怎么辦呢?難道會真的出現那種可怕的現象——地球上最后的一滴水是人類的眼淚?我不寒而栗。
其實，每個人只要少摘一朵花，少踐踏一次草地，隨時注意不亂丟垃圾，不就是在保護環境嗎?我們作為小學生，人類的下一代更應該注意從小牢固樹立人與自然必須和諧相處，和諧發展的理念，自覺養成愛護環境和相應的道德行為規范。讓天更藍，空氣更清新!
保護小環境，愛護大地球，是我們沒一個人的責任。讓我們行動起來，愛護生態環境，創建綠色家園吧!
