星期六的那天，我早早的就起床了，第一件事就是洗臉漱口，我用洗臉盆打了一盆子水，然后開始洗臉，許多同學也許想也不想就把水倒掉，對我們家來說，把僅僅洗了臉的水就倒掉多可惜呀!所以呢，我就把水倒在了衛生間的一個大桶里，在沖廁所時，節約了水。該吃早飯了，媽媽每次炒菜都炒得特別少，怕吃不完浪費了，我也十分贊同，想想，農民伯伯種菜多累啊。我在做作業時，口有點渴，就用小碗倒了一碗水來喝，有的同學肯定會想：用一次性杯子多好呀，用完就把它扔了，既方便又實惠。一個杯子也許還不值一角錢，可每天用掉一個，一年用掉365個，一共花去30多元，不是很劃不來嗎?雖然杯子本身沒有毒，可是如果廢舊的塑料杯處理不當，產生化學反應，危害就大了，最起碼可以使一小塊土地幾年也種不了莊稼;如果用紙杯，要浪費多少森林資源呢?能省還是省吧!到了中午，媽媽開始洗衣服，洗衣服時免不了要整理家，我也來幫忙，大家一想：這可不能節約了吧!但是，如果真的.想節約，那一定是有辦法的，媽媽洗衣服的第一道廢水就用來洗拖把，因為里面有一定的泡沫，洗拖把再好不過了;第二道水用來擦玻璃，里面有少量的洗滌液，可以把玻璃擦得又亮又干凈;最后一道水是最清亮的，可以用來擦桌子，或擦櫥臺。沒錯吧，要想節約，還是很有門道的，光這天下來，我家也差不多節約了一噸水，很意外吧!下午，我又開始把煤面和均勻后打成煤球，現在煤的儲量還算沒到了十分緊張的階段，但是煤炭資源總是越來越少，所以我們還是需要節約，在用了大的煤塊后，剩下的煤面和煤子，可用黃泥、水攪拌后做成煤球，而且煤球也是很耐燒的，攪拌時所要用上的水，在我洗臉時留下的水可派上了用場，這雙管齊下，又節約了一筆。
