Late one night at the insane asylum (瘋人院)one inmate shouted, "I am Napoleon!"
Another one said, "How do you know?"
The first inmate said, "God told me!"
Just then, a voice from another room shouted, "I did not!"
一天晚上，在瘋人院里，一個病人說："我是拿破侖!"另一個說："你怎么知道?"第一個人說："上帝對
我說的!"一會兒，一個聲音從另一個房間傳來："我沒說!"

【A mother mouse老鼠的第二語言也重要】
A mother mouse was out for a stroll with her babies when she
spotted a cat crouched behind a bush. She watched the cat, and
the cat watched the mice.
Mother mouse barked fiercely, "Woof, woof, woof!" The cat
was so terrified that it ran for it's life.
Mother mouse turned to her babies and said, "Now, do you
understand the value of a second language?"
一只母老鼠帶著孩子出來散步，突然她看見一只貓正在灌木叢中虎視耽耽。
母老鼠向著貓叫道：“汪，汪，汪”，貓聽了非常害怕，拼命跑走了。
母老鼠回過頭洋洋自得的對孩子說：“現在你知道外語的重要性了吧。”
【ass and man驢和買驢的人】
A man wanted to buy an ass. He went to the market, and saw a likely one. But he wanted to
test him first. So he took the ass home, and put him into the stable with the other asses.
The new ass looked around, and immediately went to choose a place next to the laziest ass in
the stable. When the man saw this he put a halter on the ass at once, and gave him back to
his owner. The owner felt quite surprised. He asked the man, "Why are you back so soon? Have
you tested him already?" "I don't want to test him any more," replied the man, "From the
companion he chose for himself, I could see what sort of animal he is."
一個買主到市場上去買驢，他看中一頭外表不錯的驢，但是他想要牽走試一試。他把驢牽回家，放
在自己其他的.驢之間，這驢四處看看，立即走向一頭好吃懶做的驢旁邊。于是，買驢的人立刻給那頭驢套
上轡頭，牽去還給驢的賣主。賣主感到很奇怪，他問買主：“你怎么這么快就回來了?”買主說：“不必
再試了，從他所選擇什么樣的朋友來看，我已經知道他是什么樣了。”
【魯侯養鳥】
Once upon a time, a sea bird landed in the suburbs of the capital of the state of Lu.
Marquis Lu was delighted and brought this bird to the ancestral temple, and gave it wine to drink, played it music from Jiushao. In order to delight it, he also feasted it on beef, mutton and pork.
But the bird looked sad and doleful(悲哀的), groggy(無力的) and dizzy. It dared not eat any meat or drink any wine. It died in less than three days.
Marquis feed the bird the same way he feed himself, not the way to feed a bird.
從前，有一只海鳥飛落在魯國國都的郊外。
魯侯和高興，他隆重地把這只鳥迎接到宗廟里，獻酒給它喝，為它演奏《九韶》樂曲，讓它高興，還用牛、羊、豬全備的豐盛宴席作鳥的飯食。
這只鳥卻憂愁悲苦，頭暈眼花，它一塊肉也不敢吃，一杯酒也不敢喝，沒過三天就死了。
魯侯是用養活自己的方式來養鳥，而不是用養活鳥的方式來養鳥。
【操舟若神】
Once Yan Yuan asked his mentor Confucius why those who are good at swimming or diving can learn how to steer a boat very quickly.
Confucius said, "It is because those who are good at swimming do not fear water when they are in it. Those who are good at diving regard abysms(深遠) just as land and hills. They can handle any dangerous situation with ease.
This kind of people is undaunted(勇敢的) at any place. In gambling, when person chips in his tiles he sometimes wins.
When he chips in his sliver hook, his mind is in dread. When he chips in his gold, he feels dizzy and has fear in his mind.
This is because he values worldly possessions too much Thus, those who think too much of worldly possessions must have clumsy thoughts."
有一次，顏淵問老師孔子為什么善于游泳和善于潛水的人可以很快學好駕船的技術。
孔子說：“這是因為善于游泳的人雖然身在水中卻不把水看得可怕，善于潛水的人把深淵也只看成丘陵陸地，他們面對各種危險情形，都應付自如。
這樣的人無論在什么地方都會自然無畏。同樣一個人，在賭博時，用瓦片下注往往可以巧中，用銀鉤下注就心存畏懼，用黃金下注就會頭腦發昏，這是因為他看重身外之物而有所顧惜、心懷畏懼。”
