I have been teaching English while I’ve been studying for postgraduate courses. Because my major is English language and literature, importantly, my research orientation is theories and practice of English language teaching. The teaching experience is very helpful for my study and my job. I have taught oral English in the International Exchange Department in Sichuan International Studies University. And I have taught business English in English Department of this university. Well, I also have the great honor to teach college English in Chongqing Education College. Strengths: Highly-motivated and determined
I don’t know whether you have watched a film named The Pursuit of Happiness. It is a very touching movie acted by Will Smith. I love this movie very much. Because I find myself in this movie and I got a lesson from it. In this movie, the main character never lost hope and was devoted to his job and family, being passionate about life and future, and being calm while facing adversities. I can still remember what the father said to his son. You got a dream, you gonna protect it. I am like him, full of motivation and determination, being strong and calm while facing difficulties.
Weaknesses: Im afraid I havent got a very good sense of directions, so I easily get lost. But I like to ask people and find the way from other means, for example, search the Internet on my mobile phone, and turn to the directions at bus stops. Another one is that I tend to have too high expectations on people, especially people who I care. Once my sister and friends told me that I expected them too highly which put too much pressure on them. This is true with regard to my students. Anyway, I am trying to find the balance between ideals/ hopes and reality.

對于絕大多數(shù)同學(xué)來說，英語始終是心頭大患。我與大家經(jīng)歷相同，從4年級便被扣上了這頂帽子，每一次考試，英語總是給我拖后腿，但在一次次摸索中，我也在不斷進(jìn)步，總結(jié)了一些經(jīng)驗(yàn)。正所謂“方向不對，努力白費(fèi)”，正確的學(xué)習(xí)方法會使我們的學(xué)習(xí)效率大大提高，從而達(dá)到事半功倍的目的。下面是我總結(jié)的一些學(xué)習(xí)英語的經(jīng)驗(yàn)，希望可以供同學(xué)們參考。
第一，做好課堂筆記。顧名思義，課堂筆記便是利用課堂時(shí)間將老師所講的重點(diǎn)、難點(diǎn)、疑點(diǎn)記下，千萬不可以“手懶”，對于知識零碎的英語來說更是如此，好記性不如爛筆頭。然后是回顧筆記，回顧筆記才是做筆記的重點(diǎn)，建議大家，周末時(shí)專門抽出時(shí)間回顧一下當(dāng)周所做的筆記，這樣能有效地緩解緊張的心理，可以讓你在下一周的學(xué)習(xí)中得心應(yīng)手。舉個(gè)我自己的例子吧，記得有一次英語抽測，我抱著僥幸的心理，沒有做好復(fù)習(xí)工作，所以考試前就開始臨時(shí)抱佛腳，結(jié)果到了最后，根本沒有時(shí)間復(fù)習(xí)完，考試時(shí)慌慌張張，考得一塌糊涂。所以說，做好筆記對于學(xué)生來說十分重要。
第二，整理回顧錯(cuò)題，對于很多同學(xué)來說，都能做到整理錯(cuò)題，但重點(diǎn)是我們不僅僅要整理，更要回顧與反思。所謂“好馬不吃回頭草”對我們學(xué)生萬萬不可適用，要想成功擠過中考這座獨(dú)木橋，就必須回顧自己的錯(cuò)題，也防止再出現(xiàn)類似的失誤。再舉個(gè)例子吧，我開始和很多同學(xué)一樣只是糾一下錯(cuò)，之后就不管了，但是有一次考試，我真記得做過某一題，就是忘了怎么做，結(jié)果不僅沒做出題，心情也糟糕透頂，考試結(jié)果可想而知慘不忍睹，后來我學(xué)著經(jīng)常回顧錯(cuò)題本，慢慢地積累，厚積薄發(fā)，考試也不再出現(xiàn)類似的失誤。
第三，要利用零碎的時(shí)間。英語是一門需要長期積累的科目，知識點(diǎn)很多，一定要好好利用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)、學(xué)習(xí)機(jī)和其他移動方便的設(shè)備，更不用說書籍和雜志這樣的傳統(tǒng)學(xué)習(xí)資源！你完全可以在課間、排隊(duì)、午休等時(shí)間記幾個(gè)單詞，要養(yǎng)成“天天英語”的習(xí)慣，每天按老師的要求作一篇完形閱讀，堅(jiān)持天天聽英語。其實(shí)學(xué)英語的過程更像是一朵云的形成，是水汽的一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)積累；而不像砌一面墻那樣，把磚堆上去就好。

Jordan Cebulla told of being a poor student in high school here locally who almost abandoned any idea of higher education. But, told by a family friend that Lafayette is, quote, "a gritty town full of gritty people," he gave Ivy Tech a try. And four years later, he is a Purdue alum. He told his classmates, "In the end, if we quit on ourselves, everyone else will quit on us, too."
In his response speech, Seon Shoopman confided that, out of sixteen schools he applied to, Purdue was the only one to admit him, provided he attend our summer boot camp. Three and a half years later, he, too, earned his Purdue degree, with honors, becoming the first in his family to graduate from college. Seon said that, more than any other motive, he wanted to do it for the mother who had pushed him all the way. "When I wanted to quit, she told me not to. When I wanted to leave school, she told me not to. She told me to fight, be strong, and make something of myself."
Some in today’s world think they have discovered something new in the concept of "grit." A Harvard Business School article just last fall was titled "Organizational Grit," and reported that, quote, "High achievers have extraordinary stamina. ... When easier paths beckon, their commitment is steadfast. Grit predicts who will accomplish challenging goals." So that’s why a Harvard MBA costs 200 grand.
