For example, I read books every day, I often play sports. My favorite sport is ping-pong. Because I really like Ding Ning. She can play it very well. I often play it with my classmates at school in the afternoon. It is interesting.
Our school is very nice. First, there is a beautiful garden in our school. It has a lot of flowers and trees. The flowers are colorful and smell good. The trees are green and you can have a rest under the tree. Second, there is a big playground in our school too. We can play basketball, play badminton, run and so on. It is healthy for our mind and body to play sports. Third, there is also a dining hall in our school. We can have meals there and the food tastes delicious. The teachers are very friendly to us. They usually help with our study. Although they sometimes are strict, they just want us to get good grades. I love my classmates too. Because they can make me laugh and I can learn a lot from them. Hello! Every one. My name is XuJiaWei, from Class 3 Grade 7.
Please think a minute! I heard a funny true story about this guy who goes to the gym to exercise and work out each week. He takes 20 minutes to change his clothes. Then he walks around the gym talking with different people.
After that, he reads the newspaper. Finally, he does a few stretches and 5 minutes of exercises. Then he takes a hot steam bath before going home. So in the whole 2 hours he?s at the gym, he only spends 5 minutes exercising! One day, someone heard this man saying:“I don?t understand it. I go the the gym almost everyday, but I never seem to lose weight.” But every body at the gym knows why, because they see this guy there doing everything except the main thing exercise!

Internet Civilization
Good afternoon, ladies and gentleman! First I want to say is that I’m very proud of to be invited to to present my topic here, which is “ Internet Civilization”.
Before I begin my topic, please allow me to ask you a question: Every time you click the mouse to surf the web, do you know what does it mean?
On the net, you can make friends overseas and call them with IP phones; you can get information from all over the world; you can even give a hand to some people in troubles and get help when in need.
However, we have to admit that internet also leads to intimacy before acquaintance; it scatters secrets outwards, not inwards; and, most worrying of all, it is a vehicle for liars.
Here we should see, there exists good and evil, right and wrong on the web. As netizens, we’d better grow to realize the importance of Internet Civilization.
Just as the famous saying goes “Long and steep is the path to virtue.” Many people advocate that we should be sincere, honest and responsible in our society—the real world. Now, what I want to add is that we also should obey the primary moral principles in this virtual world.
All of my dear friends here, on the internet, which role did you play? Which role are you playing? And which role will you play?
Thank you very much!
Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I’m Angela Zhang from Class 4 Grade 8. Today, my topic is, “The Shanghai World Epo”.
First, I’ll say something about World Epo History. As we know, the very first World Epo, the Great Ehibition of 1851, took place in the Crystal Palace in London. UK. Ever since then, the goals of World Epos have been both high-minded as well as commercial. Visitors are able to eplore the world outside of their everyday eperience—outside cultures, new scientific advancements, and new inventions. World Epos have ecited and inspired more and more people in the world.
On December3, 20, the Bureau of International Epositions (or call it BIE) announced that Shanghai will host Epo20. the BIE had received bids from five cities to host Epo20. Among the 5 nice cities, the BIE chose Shanghai at last! It’s really an eciting news for not only Shanghainese, but also all of Chinese people. Here are some details about it.
Look at this profile carefully. The title is “The 20 World Eposition ,Shanghai, China ”. this is the logo.
And the theme is “better city., better life”.OK, let’s guess who is the image representative? Yeah, you’re right, Yao Ming!
Shanghai Epo is the first comprehensive World Epo held in a developing country. And it is also the first one that takes “the city” as its theme, hoping that it can push forward the city development and help bring about a better urban living environment, just like the theme: better city, better life.
I think, as a student in Shanghai, we should learn to be a gentle person and keep good manners from now on. And try to practice English more in order to communicate with foreigners fluently in the near future. Because, we’re a part of Shanghai!
As the song goes “ My future isn’t a dream .”
I love the song which brings me confidence when singing it every time . I believe that all our dreams can come true if we have courage to pursue them .When I was young my father always asked me what I would be in the future . Sometimes I found it very hard to give a certain reply . “ I want to be a doctor .” “ I want to be a teacher .” and “ I ’d like to be a scientist !” Many of these answers are perhaps very childish and ridiculous . But I never think they are far away .
How time flies! Who is able to give a definition to his future ? I know clearly that those high buildings are based on solid foundation . As a student , I should have a reasonable aim , and study hard . My goal is to enter the best university for further study after middle school . I know it’s hard work , and I ’ll come across many difficulties and frustrations . But no matter what they are , I’ll keep working on it and never give up . My teacher says there ’s only one kind of people that are truly successful : those who are brave enough to put up with hardships . Even if I won’t achieve the goal , I have no regrets for what I have done , for I have struggled for my life .
As many of you may know, I am a first-generation college graduate – I’m proud of it. My family had very little money. We lived in a small town.
And try as I might to fit in, I always felt like an outsider and often was treated as one. My father was an immigrant, and the only person around who spoke with a strong foreign accent. In elementary school, I was the only Jewish girl.
And…and one day – I remember this vividly – in fifth grade, I learned just how easily false stereotypes about minorities can arise.
That’s when another blond-haired, blue-eyed girl moved into my class. My best friend Diane took one look, turned to me, and said, “Oh! She must be Jewish, too!”
My hometown may not have understood or celebrated diversity, but it treated me and my family respectfully.
I never took that for granted given my father’s escape from Nazi Germany. My parents even joined with others in neighboring towns to create the first synagogue.
Wonderfully…wonderfully…wonderfully dedicated and caring teachers helped prepare me for college. And I couldn’t wait to go.
期望值過高:孩子拼命按家長的意愿生活、學習,也許父母感到滿足,但孩子生活得較為壓抑,甚至影響心理健康。盡力后仍達不到家長的要求,雙方均失望,可能導致孩子自暴自棄;
Good morning everybody! It's my honor to speak here, and I am very glad to share my topic with you. Then today I'd like to talk something about which is more important, time or money. Some people often say:“money is more important than time.”they think that if people have money. They can buy clothes, foods, drinks, houses, cars, computers and so o n. But l don’t think so. Because when time is gone we can't get it back. But we can keep on making more money. We can use time to get money. However we can’t use money to get time. Lost wealth maybe replaced by industry. Lost knowledge by study. Lost health by temperance or medicine, but lost time is gone for ever. I cannot afford to waste my time making money. So I think time is more important than money. We must make full use of our time to study and work. Each moment in history is a fleeting time, precious and unique.
After six years of primary school, we have joined the bilingual school and become a middle school student. We are proud of ourselves. Today, I have the honor to speak here on behalf of the freshman, and I am extremely excited.
Students, new semester opens new hope, new blank holds new dream. In order to make our dreams become a reality, we listen carefully to the teacher's teaching, continuous efforts to study and explore. There are knowledgeable, serious and responsible teacher, have a high spirit, studious aspirant, strives for realism the innovation of the students. It is an honor for each of us to get involved in such a learning environment. I believe that in the future study, we will make a further progress!
As the saying goes, "there is no royal road to learning." Learning is no shortcut, so we shouldn't be frightened, to the strict discipline and high morale into the study, play the spirit of arduous struggle, never let go of difficulties, will encounter difficulties, and expand the knowledge, do not do "two ear not smell out of the window, read only sage with books" nerd.
Of course, we should strictly abide by the daily rules and regulations of the school, consciously restrain our own behaviors, and gradually change the requirements of the daily routine into voluntary actions. At the same time, we should observe the social order, cultivate noble social morality, and show the presence of bilingual students to the whole society.
Students, "bao jianfeng from grinding out, plum blossom from the bitter cold." We can only gain if we give. I believe that under the teacher's care, under the teacher's hard cultivation, and through our unremitting efforts. After three years, we will be a qualified middle school student with morality, culture and discipline, giving a satisfactory answer to the school.
New term has come, let us all the new students with a good hope, in the full spirit to meet new challenges, with hard work to climb the peak of wisdom, with knowledge of the golden key to open the door to success! Today, we are proud to be bilingual. Tomorrow, let our school be proud of us! Thank you.
A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wild flower hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in ahour. Several days ago I had a chance to listen to a lecture. What about yours? I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well let‘s make a fist. where is our future? where is our love career and life? Tell me.Yeah it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves.
We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Don‘t cry because it is over smile because it happened. From the past we‘ve learnt that the life is tough but we are tougher. We‘ve learnt that we can‘t choose how we feel but we can choose what
about it. Failure doesn‘t mean you don‘t have it it does mean you should do it in a different way. Failure doesn‘t mean you should give up it does mean you must try harder.
As what I said at the beginning “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what we give to the world the world will give to us. And from today on let‘s be the owners of ourselves and speak out “We are the world we are the future.”

etiquette is not only the person, the embodiment of education is also a manifestation of personal morality and social morality. is the face of the city, is the country face.
therefore, learning etiquette not only in strong personal qualities, outside the plastic units better able to lubricate and improve interpersonal relationships.
has a history of 5,000 years of civilization as the "ceremonies", stressing civilization, with rituals, but also promote the national culture, an important way to demonstrate national spirit.
we are in society, identity, role is constantly changing. we hate others this moment, the next moment people often become the object of hate. these are none other than "informal," the act of.
when we, as tourists often, always in accordance with their own interest, spitting, spit chewing gum, trampled grass, scrawl graffiti on the cultural relics; when we are the people of the time, it is spitting the phenomenon of hate to write graffiti.
when we get along with classmates when the students always complain about the "informality", whether at work or life to speak through things; and our management are often too lazy to "section."
when we take the bus, always able to grab a seat for the complacent, pushed, stepped on, when people say i'm sorry from the disdain; when we were pushed or stepped on, when they do not always say sorry if the brooding and even punches thrown; the time when we are old, standing threw the car, always eager to own some people to not stand for a seat.
with the social development and progress, people's spiritual needs levels and increasing the value of self-awareness, we want to understand more, be respected. there is no doubt that the current situation, the ritual is not individual industries, individual community's needs, but all the people needed.
train to run fast, depends on the locomotive. at home, if parents can take the lead; in schools, if teachers can take the lead; in the unit, if leaders can take the lead; in the window unit, window staff if we can take the lead ... ... by extension, to all of china to promote , universal civilization, etiquette, if the capital more than 10 million people to take the lead in this head; if everyone starts from me and from now on ... ...
no doubt, our civility to popularize the work will be easier. then our spiritual civilization and material civilization would be like to achieve rapid development. we are 1.3 billion people, mental outlook, certainly a new look, people are living in a friendly, tolerant, caring, warm community atmosphere!
etiquette, stressing that the "respect-based."
want others to respect you, first of all have to respect people.
those bad habits, map the moment fast, lost to one's personality and dignity. do not respect even their own people, other people will respect you?
my speech is over, thank you!

Homemade Ship
Hans Andersen, a life-long fisherman, had a dream. He wanted to sail around the world. And he did it. He got several sponsors who subsidized his trip. He bought a beautiful 40-foot yacht, with all the latest technical and safety gear, and had a pleasant voyage. Well, except for almost sinking while going around the tips of South America and Africa.
The voyage went so smoothly that, looking back on it, he felt it was too easy. He needed a new challenge. He decided to build his own boat. But that was nothing new. Several people had built their own boats and sailed them around the world. No, he needed a unique boat. Watching TV commercials one day, he got it—ice cream sticks! He would be the first man to sail around the world in a boat built exclusively of ice cream sticks.
He put out the word. Within three years, school children from all over Holland had sent Hans 15 million ice cream sticks. He used these sticks to build a 45-foot replica of a Viking ship. After all the sticks were glued together, Hans took his new boat out to sea on a one-week voyage. “It’s magnificent, and totally sea-worthy,” he proclaimed.
He plans to set sail in early 20xx with a crew of two. He will sail across the Atlantic to Canada, and then down to Florida and through the Panama Canal. Then he’ll travel to Los Angeles, Honolulu, Tokyo, around the tip of Africa, and back to Holland. “If this trip succeeds,” he joked, “my next goal will be to build a plane out of ice cream sticks and fly it around the world!”

I Agree or not agree: the next twenty years from now on, students will not use printed books any more.
I don't think so. printed books won't be abandoned in such a short time. I admit that new technology is developing fast. Many advanced electronic products are gradually take the place of traditional tools. Just like in university, teachers like to use multimedia in class for it is quite convenient and efficient. However, for our student, it is not realistic to study completely by electronic products.
There are many things need to recorded on books. Books are something meaningful and practical. I should say, in our country, printed books wouldn't be abandoned within 20 years at least for two reasons. Firstly, books are classical container of knowledge. They accompany human to advance.
A student without books could be someway ridiculous. Secondly, our country haven't developed so strong to make every student study by computer or other forms of electronic tools. And even after 20 years, the possibility is also very small. I also think it is unnecessary because books are cheap but useful and still meaningful.
